Born in Casablanca in 1943, Alberto Pinto left his cosmopolitan hometown to attend the prestigious Ecole du Louvre in Paris. His career took off in the late sixties in New York, where he became a famous photographer for lifestyle magazines. Whilst redecorating his Manhattan apartment – where he hosted countless, memorable parties – he realized that interior decoration was his true calling. The apartment make-over was a sensation, and in no time Alberto Pinto became the go-to interior decorator in town. Fifty years on, the Alberto Pinto agency has completed over 500 prestigious projects all over the world. The founder sadly passed away in 2012, but his legacy lives on through a talented, dedicated team of architects and designers.

Originally a young fashion and lifestyle photographer, Pinto turned to interior decoration as a hobby. He began by redecorating his Manhattan apartment between assignments, which left guests so impressed they soon became clients.
Known for his warm, outgoing personality and love for hosting, Alberto Pinto was driven by a passion for exceptional design. His work was rooted in “the great art of entertaining,” and his dinnerware sets became his pièce de résistance.
The ceramic collection reflects Pinto’s signature aesthetic, which he called “Haute Decoration”. It blends exceptional materials, rich color palettes, and eclectic styles to conjure a luxurious, beautiful atmosphere.
Drawing inspiration from 18th-century porcelain, Pinto revived ancient artisan techniques. Each piece combines heritage craftsmanship like gilding and hand painting with modern design sensibilities.
The collections feature exquisite motifs inspired by flora and fauna—from butterflies and orchids to vegetables and tiny bugs. These elements are hand-painted with remarkable realism, giving each piece an haute couture appeal.
