This elegant appetizer combines the rich, nutty flavor of Manchego cheese with the delicate sweetness of quince jam, creating a perfect balance of savory and sweet. A drizzle of agave nectar adds a smooth, floral note, while toasted pecans provide a satisfying crunch and warmth. Served on a small plate or crostini, this simple yet sophisticated bite captures the essence of Spanish tradition with a modern twist — ideal for wine pairings or as part of a refined cheese board.

Ingredients

  • ¼ pound Manchego cheese
  • Quince jam or quince paste (good quality guava paste, apricot jam, and fig jam are also good substitutes)
  • Crushed pecans
  • Organic agave syrup

Instructions

  • Cut Manchego cheese into 1/8-inch slices (I like to shape mine into triangles).
  • Top with a dollop of quince jam, crushed pecans, and a drizzle of agave syrup.
