Cabbage, in its rough and flat form, could be used as a metaphor for Portugal’s rustic ways, which Bordallo Pinheiro had so many times caricatured. This was a clever way to honour it, placing it on the bourgeois’ tables, where other way it had not been invited.
This collection is the result of a collaboration between Bordallo Pinheiro and the Brazilian NGO Ecoarts Amazônia in the preservation of an environmental, cultural, social and scientific heritage crucial to mankind's future. Each piece was inspired from the very rich local flora and was only possible thanks to intense knowledge sharing with those who live their daily lives in this vibrant mosaic of ecosystems, traditions, colours, sounds and smells that is the Amazon rainforest.
Tomatoes are a perfect example on how the creative non-conformity and functionality do not exclude themselves: the artist created utilitarian pieces where nature, humour and joy are served at the table.

It coexists with the rustic white, in a versatile and contemporary set, allowing a very original mix and match.
The "cineraria" collection likely features intricate and detailed representations of various birds and natural elements. This include depictions of flowers, leaves, branches, and of course, different bird species.

Inspired in the renascence blue tiles by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, Rua Nova combines tradition and modernity. With a variety of utilitarian pieces and table accessories in four colours, this collection makes a tribute to the blue tiles, which can be admire in so many Portuguese streets.

As a continuation of the vegetable and fruit collection by Bordallo Pinheiro, there is this collection of juicy and colourful watermelons. The collection includes bowls, fruit bowls, cake plates and presentation plates, these pieces replicate the fruit through irregularities in the shapes, the texture of the fruit pulp, the details on the seeds and the bright colours and painting on the pieces.
"Tropical Fruits" collection from Bordallo Pinheiro would likely feature a variety of ceramics adorned with vibrant and exotic fruit designs. This could include fruits like Kiwi, bananas, avacado, papayas, coconuts, and more.
